About the Mosehla Foundation

Mr Mosehla as founder of the Foundation, and its Trustees, have established the Trust for the purposes of addressing the needs of South African youth.


Objectives of the Trust

The Trust addresses the needs of South Africa youth through:

  • The administration, development, co-ordination and promotion of sports and recreation in which participants take part in on a non-professional basis;
  • Education provision, educational enrichment, academic support, career guidance and provision of scholarships, bursaries and awards for education purposes; and
  • General empowerment of selected schools through financial assistance, financing of infrastructure or provision of goods.

Khomotso Brian Mosehla CA (SA) / Founder

Brian completed his articles with KPMG in 1995 and is a qualified South African chartered accountant. He worked at African Merchant Bank Limited for several years, gaining a broad range of experience, including MBO, LBO and capital restructuring/raising transactions.

In 2003 he established Mvelaphanda Corporate Finance for the development of Mvelaphanda’s mining and non-mining interests. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Mosomo Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd, a well-known black empowerment investment company with a proven track record in transformation, and with experience in mining, financial services and mass banking concepts.

Brian served as an Executive Director of Mvelaphanda Resources and as a non-executive director of JSE listed Coal of Africa Limited, Unitrans Limited, Northan Platinum, and Zambezi (RF) Platinum.

MEET OUR TRUSTEES

Mrs Caron Mosehla -- Trustee
Caron Mosehla graduated from Wits University as a Social Worker in 1996. Caron's HR Consulting company, Quantum People Solutions, works on Social Change & Development, Transformational HR Management, Change Management, Organisational Development and Capability Development. Her experience encompasses union and non-union, private and not-for-profit, and corporate businesses within the Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing and Professional Services sectors.
Mr Gwenaël Trotel -- Trustee
Gwenaël travelled from his native France to South Africa in 1997 for what was supposed to be a short stay, but soon developed a passion for the country and its people and has never left . Growing from strong scientific and engineering academic roots, Gwenaël has held various leadership positions in the local financial technology industry, and now focuses on the development and commercialisation of innovative electronic payment solutions for a major banking group.
Mr Grant Forsyth -- Trustee
Grant has over 20 years’ experience in the ICT world and started his training company six years ago. He lecturers, consults, coaches and has developed and conducted many training courses for small businesses to corporate clients across Africa. His success in the training environment is due to his theoretical knowledge, his work experience, and his ability to enable delegates in a fun and informative way. Grant loves most sport and is one of the few NFL fans in South Africa.
